The ’85 Bears World Champions, the last Chicago football team to win the Big Game, are teaming up with LifeSource to save lives this summer and to give donors an opportunity to win an unprecedented youth football camp experience for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18, led by members of the ’85 Champs.
The blood drive will be held at EastSide Centre in East Peoria from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday in the main gym.
Participants who register in advance and attend the drive are automatically entered in a random drawing to win a football autographed by members of the ’85 Bears World Champions.
All donors will have the chance to win the ultimate youth football training camp experience with members of the 85’ Bears World Champions which will take place at EastSide Centre on July 29.
The community is invited to attend the blood drive and participate in the camp program. Bears players who will be coaching the camp include Shaun Gayle, Steve McMichael, Keith Van Horne, Jay Hilgenberg, Emery Moorehead and Otis Wilson.
There will be at least 400 winners from each blood drive. The camp is scheduled in two sessions for each age group; a morning session for ages 7 – 12 and an afternoon session for ages 13 – 18.
Lucky participants can learn football techniques from members of the ’85 World Champs. Each participant will receive an autograph from members of the ’85 World Champs.
This is a non-contact camp where all equipment is provided. Family members can enjoy the excitement from the stands.
It’s easy to donate. The donation process takes about an hour and is both safe and comfortable.
Blood donors need to be at least 17-years-old, 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health.
Most medications are accepted. Please bring photo identification such as a driver’s license, state ID or passport.
