  • SPRINGFIELD – Another $100 million in unclaimed property has been added to the Illinois State Treasurer’s office database of unclaimed cash.

That brings the total held by the treasurer’s office to $1.6 billion in unclaimed property, said state Treasurer Dan Rutherford in a statement Wednesday.

“While our numbers since the switch to I-Cash from Cash Dash are up dramatically, I want more people to go online and find out if they or their family members have unclaimed property,” Rutherford said.

To see if you have unclaimed cash, go to icash.illinois.gov and enter your name in the search field.  If it’s a match, fill out the online claim form and send it in.
