  • Plan now to join us for the 10th Annual Historic Springdale Cemetery Tour presented Prairie Folklore Theatre. Consider yourself formally invited for a walking tour as we encounter voices from Peoria’s past including the screenwriter ‘Spig’ Weed who was portrayed by John Wayne in his biographical movie, the landscape architect who designed Peoria’s most beautiful parks, Oscar Dubuis and the family responsible for the first public libraries in Peoria, which lead to national legislation for free public libraries in all 50 states and 48 other countries.

Come spend an afternoon in one of the Midwest’s most beautiful cemeteries and be immersed in several chapters of Midwestern history. Tickets are $10 per person and the funds raised help to restore this historic gem that contains sculpture worthy of European Museums.
Please call 309-689-8000 to make reservations, or email foxtales@foxtalesint.com, or visit www.prairiefolkloretheater.com for more information.
