Obituary: Erin C. Jackson, 30, of East Peoria

East Peoria – Erin C. Jackson, 30 of East Peoria died at 1:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. 

She was born April 24, 1982 in Hampton, Virginia to Roy B. and Janice A. Bowers Jackson.

She is survived by her parents and one sister Brittany Jackson all of East Peoria.  She is also survived by several aunts and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Erin was a 2003 graduate of East Peoria High School where she participated in the choir.  She also participated in the Special Olympics in Fort Bliss, Texas, in 1995 and 1996 where she won medals in wheelchair races, Track, and baseball throw.  

She worked for Community Workshop Training Center in Peoria doing Piecework Assembly for Caterpillar.

There will be a graveside service for Erin at 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 27, 2012, at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is handling arrangements.
