  • Eureka College junior linebacker Frankie Bray (Ottawa/Barron-Collier H.S.) has been named to the D3Football.com National Team of the Week, according to an announcement from the website late Monday night.
Bray filled the stat sheet for a Eureka defense that allowed negative rushing yardage in a 31-18 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference victory at Westminster last Saturday.
Bray had two interceptions, one of which was returned 40 yards for the go-ahead touchdown midway through the fourth quarter.
The third-year linebacker also set or matched career-highs with nine total tackles, five solo tackles, 1.0 sack and 2.5 tackles for loss against the Blue Jays.
Through the first five games of the season, Bray has 23 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and a team-high three interceptions.
The D3Football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, recognizes the top player at each position from the previous week.
The website has covered NCAA Division III football on a national basis for nearly two decades.
Bray joins teammates Sam Durley (Roanoke/Roanoke-Benson H.S.) and Jordan Kindred (Chrisman/Chrisman H.S.) as Red Devils to earn the award from the website this season.
