  • Cesarina D. Alread, age 91, of Metamora, formerly of Republic, Pa., died at 5:11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
     
    Born Aug. 1, 1921, in Republic, Pa., to Cesare and Louisa (Gulliot) Dati, she was married to Samuel J. Alread, who died in 1978.
     
    Surviving are her children, Bill (the late Barbara) Alread of Metamora, Sam (Gay) Alread of Germantown Hills, Robert Alread of Elgin, and Cynthia (Shaun) Doran of East Dundee; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, William (Sally) Dati of Algonquin.
     
    She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law and two sisters.
    She retired from Western Electric, working in the teletype division.
     
    She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and loved her family and loved to cook.
     
    A funeral Mass was Oct. 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Metamora, with the Rev. Don Roszkowski officiating. Visitation was prior to Mass time at the church. Graveside committal services were Oct. 3 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Metamora.
     
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School.
