Metamora swimming crushes Washington

The Metamora swimming team took down Mid-Illini Conference rival Washington at home Dec. 17, 112-72.

Austin Fischbach won the 200 free in 2:02.26 and Logan Breithbarth won the 200 IM in 2:24.39.

In the 50 free, Noah Harris burst past opponents to win in 0:25.55.

Jared Willerton took the 100 fly with a time of 0:54.30 and Fischbach won the 500 free in 5:32.64.

The 200 free relay was won by the team of Brody Mitchell, Alex Mullens, Peter Koos and Fischbach in 1:41.85.

Harris won the 100 breast in 1:09.40 and the 400 free relay team of Shelby Heffron, Fischbach, Jake Welch and Mullens won in 3:51.18.

The team next takes to the water at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 3 at Pontiac.
