Helen E. “Betty” Sipka Wing, 78, of Court Place in Pekin, passed away at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Oct. 1, 1934, in Pekin to Nelson and Ada Martin. She first married George J. Sipka on June 9, 1952, and had six children. She later married Fred Wing and he preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, Harvey, Lyle, and Paul.
Surviving are two sons, George J. (Lona) Sipka III of Delavan and Stan (Dee) Sipka of Creve Coeur; four daughters, Cindy (Bill) Burke Riley of Calhoun, Ga., Teresa (Scott) Massey of Pekin, Jill Kelly of Morton, and Amy (Troy) Martin of Pekin; 13 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Phyllis, Carol, Donna, Nancy, and Jody.
Betty worked at Kyle’s Care at Home and Marigold Estates, both in Pekin.
She was of the Catholic faith.
She was greatly loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Davis Mortuary in Tremont. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Pekin.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
