Levee District Community Celebration this Saturday, March 16

The East Peoria Levee District community celebration will take place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday, March 16.

All are invited for a community celebration to kick off the grand opening of the Levee District at East Peoria Downtown. The celebration will feature activities for the entire family including Unique Twist, Fun on the Run, The Zoo Lady, Wildlife Prairie Park, local artists and food vendors.

The Ark and TAPS will also be onsite for an animal adoption event.

A $500 shopping spree drawing will take place at noon. The chance to enter that contest ends March 15. Enter at www.EastPeoriaEntertoWin.com.

The grand opening community celebration will take place along the pedestrian promenade in the parking lot at The Levee District at 400 W. Washington St. in East Peoria.

The Levee District encompasses more than 86 acres that when complete will include 500,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, as well as office, hotel and civic components.
