    The Metamora boys track team braved the cold and rainy weather to finish first at East Peoria over Morton and the host school with 127.5 points.

    The Metamora boys track team braved the cold and rainy weather to finish first at East Peoria over Morton and the host school with 127.5 points.
    The 4x800 team won in 8:41.84 and the 4x100 team won in 0:44.84.
    Sam Ryan won the 110 meter high hurdles in 16.24 and Gage Patton took the 100 meter in 0:11.28.
    Ryan also won the 300 meter intermediate hurdles in 0:43.26.
    The 4x200 team finished first in 1:33.0 and Ryan McMorrow, in 0:52.05, won the 400 meter.
    The 4x400 team won in 3:37.74.
    Frederick took the shot put with a score of 50'7 and Isaiah Blumenschine won the discus with a toss of 118'5.
    Adam Hoskins finished first in the triple jump with a score of 39'7.5,Erik Inman won the high jump with a jump of 6'4 and Cal Urycki won the pole vault with a vault of 11'6.
    The team next competes at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Gene Ward Invite.
    Girls Track
    The Metamora girls track team finished second at home with 77 points. Morton took first with 87 points and East Peoria finished third.
    The 4x800 team of Raven Gutierrez, Katie Pitts, Ashlyn Rulius and Danica Dragoo won in 10:25.4 and the 4x200 team of Kaitlyn Sutter, Britlyn Long, Alexis Grieves and Jordan TerBush won in 1:54.2.
    Katie Kessler won the 3200 for Metamora in 12:36.6.
    Gillian Urycki took the 400 in 1:00.6 and the 200 in 0:28.4.
    The shot put went to TerBush with a throw of 32'0 and Angling won the pole vault with a vault of 7'0.
    Urycki won the high jump with a jump of 4'10 and the long jump with a jump of 16'4.
    The team next competes at 4 p.m. Friday at the East Peoria Meet of Champions.
