The annual East Peoria Carnival will take place May 22 through 26 in the parking lot at the Festival Building, 2200 E. Washington St.
Sponsored by the FOLEPI Foundation with assistance from the Knights of Columbus Council 7580, proceeds from the carnival will be donated to the Nativity Display Association, which erects and maintains the Narrated Nativity display in the Festival of Lights.
Carnival hours are 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 5-10 p.m. Friday, 1-10 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Individual ride tickets cost $1.25 each. A family pack of 20 tickets for $20 will be available. All rides take two or more tickets.
Wristband days will be 5 until 9 p.m. May 23, and 1 until 5 p.m. May 26. A $20 wristband purchase, per person each day, will allow unlimited carnival rides during wristband days.
The carnival rides and games are provided by CDAC, which each year provides the use of a Ferris wheel for the giant lighted wreath during the Festival of Lights.
