  • Four central Illinois NFL players have teamed with Echo Valley Meats to host a Game Watch party Monday night at Five Points Washington.
All Washington Community High School athletes and their families are invited to enjoy a catered meal and watch the Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and  Dallas Cowboys.
The four NFL players sponsoring the event are  Patriots tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (Bloomington Central Catholic), Colts linebacker Andy Studebaker (Eureka), Browns quarterback Alex Tanney (Lexington) and  Texans offensive lineman Cody White (Normal West). The four will not be able to attend.
The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Banquet Center of Five Points Washington. The Bears-Cowboys game is set for a 7:40 p.m. kickoff.
“Being born and raised in central Illinois, we wanted to create a meaningful way to help out the Washington area and school for their hard work and resilient spirit,” Hoomanawanui said in a press release issued by the NFL Players Association.
“I can’t imagine going through something like that, so we hope to provide comfort and a distraction from the situation for at least one night.”
