EAST PEORIA – Those in East Peoria and Morton affected by the Nov. 17 tornado can ask questions about federal disaster assistance and available programs at a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Festival Building, 2200 E. Washington St.
Specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Small Business Administration will answer questions and explain the federal disaster assistance registration process and available recovery programs. Those attending the meeting can register for assistance. Information on low-interest disaster loans for businesses, homeowners and renters will be available.
Those wanting to register for assistance should bring these items to the meeting: Social Security number, current telephone contact number, current mailing address, the address of the affected property, insurance settlement document if available, and checking account information for direct deposit.
