The Illinois Fish & Feather Expo, a hunting, fishing and boat show, will return Jan. 24-26 to the Interstate Center, 2301 W. Market Street, Bloomington.
Regional and local speakers will give daily seminars. Featured speaker Frank Hyla, the host of the television program "Time on the Water," will present a seminar on some of his favorite lakes in Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
Special attractions are relic hunter Lyle Merritt, a collector of more than 5,200 arrowheads from McLean County, question-and-answers with the professionals at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 25 and a free photograph of the attendee in the outdoors, compliments of Oglesby Photographics Art.
New this year will be a seminar about conceal and carry, given by Sue Darnall of Darnall Gunworks and Ranges.
Door prizes will be given away every two hours. The grand prize is a five-day trip for two to Eagle Falls Lodge in Northwest Ontario, Canada, valued at about $1,500.
The post card/email drawing will be Jan. 26. Kids can enter a casting contest for a chance to win many prizes and try bow fishing.
Show hours are: noon to 7 p.m. Jan 24, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 25 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 26.
Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for 5-year-olds and younger. Parking also is free.
