Did A just kill Ezra? That's one of the big questions Pretty Little Liars left hanging at the end of the Season 4 finale.
After an action-packed hour that step-by-step told the story of what happened the night Alison (Sasha Pieterse) went missing, the fivesome found themselves running away from a gun-wielding A. Suddenly, Ezra (Ian Harding) appeared in all black, but after a quick second of believing he was the one doing the shooting, viewers saw the real culprit, albeit covered with his hoodie. A few more gun shots and a heck of a fight later, Ezra held his bleeding stomach and poetically fell into the arms of his former love Aria (Lucy Hale).
"It was really exciting," Harding told TVGuide.com about filming those final moments of the episode. "They actually cut out a good five minutes of that scene. We had a headbutt at the end, there was a huge punch thrown, I was wearing a full body suit and got slammed up against the rail. It was actually very violent and I don't know if the scene showed the violence that I certainly was feeling."

Although Ezra betrayed Aria in a big way by lying about knowing Alison and writing a manuscript about her subsequent disappearance, does taking a bullet for her and her friends give him some sort of heroic redemption? "Yeah, but I would still be like, 'Alright, you got shot in the gut and that sucks, but you still lied to me,'" Harding says.
So the big question remaining is if Ezra is dead, the answer of which viewers won't find out until the summer premiere on June 10. The good news? We're betting he's alive. "I did sign a contract for the fifth season," Harding says.
