  • Career Fair set at Northwoods Mall

  • Peoria–area veterans and others searching for new opportunities and advancement are invited to the 2014 Career Fair presented by state Sen. David Koehler, D-Peoria, and Midstate College.
    The Career Fair will take place at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 1 at Northwoods Mall. Local employers offering a variety of opportunities will be present. The event is free for the public to attend.
    The event will feature a "Wardrobes in the Workplace" fashion show presented by Dress for Success Peoria at noon. Career Fair attendees are also encouraged to contact Dress for Success Peoria if they are in need of a professional outfit to wear to the fair, free of charge. Dress for Success Peoria can be reached at 671-5200.
    “This career fair is an easy way for people looking for professional advancement to network and learn about opportunities,” said Bob Schertz, director of marketing and business development at Northwoods Mall. “The mall is excited to host such a beneficial event to help Peoria-area residents find jobs.”
