  • The Metamora Area Swim Team competed against Morton June 17 and earned a victory, 1015-915.
    The MAST team won 39 events for the win. 
    Ages 8-under
    In the 8-under division, Andrew Wolfe was first in the 25-meter back stroke at 30.01. Wolfe also earned first in the 100 individual medley at 2:18.28 and the 25 butterfly at 29.26.
    Gracelyn Dean earned first in the 25 butterfly at 36.10. 
    Ages 9-10
    In the 50 breast stroke, Kaelyn Ray was first at 49.83 and Nolan Hoenert won at 1:03.41. 
    Ages 11-12
    Justin Alderson won the 50 free at 29.66. In the 50 backstroke, Jacob Nichols earned first at 41.36.
    Jordyn Hanson in the girls earned first in the 100 individual medley at 1:30.47 and in the boys Alderson earned first at 1:15.14.
    In the 50 butterfly, Skylar Garey swam for first at 42.57 and Nichols earned first at 37.26.
    Ages 13-14
    In the ages 13-14 division, the girls earned five victories.
    Brooke McCormick swam for first in the 100 at 1:08.91 and in the 100 backstroke at 1:16.41. In the 100 breaststroke, McCormick earned first at 1:32.21.
    Emmie Brockhouse earned first in the 100 individual medley at 1:18.6. In the 50 butterfly, Brockhouse was first at 35.32.
    The boys swam for another five wins.
    Nathan Fischbach was a triple winner. He was first in the 100 at 1:05.68. In the 100 backstroke, Fischbach was first at 1:16.32 and earned first in the 100 individual medley at 1:13.76.
    Will Cloninger was first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:26.64 and in the 50 butterfly at 37.82.
    Ages 15-18
    Swimmers in the ages 15-18 division were also successful with eight wins all together.
    Jack McCormick was a triple winner for the boys and earned first in the 100 at 1:00.66. In the 100 breast stroke, Jack McCormick swam for first at 1:21.10 and in the 50 butterfly at 29.87.
    Austin Fischbach walked away with two 
    wins. He swam for first in the 100 backstroke at 1:16.81 and the 100 individual medley at 1:20.45.
    Nicole Peplowski was the triple winner for the girls. Peplowski earned first in the 100 individual medley at 1:09.75, the 100 breaststroke at 1:15.26 and the 50 butterfly at 31.07.
    Relays
    The MAST also earned wins in the relay events.
    Page 2 of 2 - The 10U division won the 200 medley relay and the 12U swam for first in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle.
    In the 14U division, the girls and boys and two wins apiece. 
    Each one won their races in the 200 medley and the 200 freestyle.
    The 18U girls earned a win in the 200 medley and the boys won in the 200 freestyle.
     
    MAST also swam against East Peoria June 12 and Washington June 19. Team scores were not recorded.
