  • With the help of many volunteers, businesses and organizations, the Village of Metamora constructed a new community digital sign when entering Metamora heading east on U.S. Route 116.
The idea for the sign began when the Metamora Old Settlers Days Committee donated money towards the development of the sign.
The Village of Metamora, the Metamora Park District, Old Settlers Days Committee and the Metamora Area Business Association all joined forces with monetary donations, development time and labor to bring the idea to fruition.
    Local businesses such
as Koehner Electric, Schrepfer Concrete and Dutch Landscaping also pitched in their time, efforts and monetary donations to help complete the project.
This unique Village of Metamora sign was developed to achieve three main goals: To provide an outlet for local businesses to promote what our community has to offer and to “Shop here”,  to offer a way to communicate local events and happenings to the residents of Metamora and Germantown Hills; and to deliver a beautifully landscaped sign to welcome people to the community.
