  • The Metamora girls golf team were ousted by Morton in the first Mid-Illini Conference dual of the season at Metamora Fields Aug. 27.

    The Lady Redbirds scored a 205, but Morton got the win with a194.

    The Lady Redbirds scored a 205, but Morton got the win with a194.
    Kristin Worner led Metamora with a 47 to tie for second with Payton Roche of Morton. Laura Wipfler followed up with a 50 and Katie Troutt was next in line for Metamora marking a 52 on the card.
    Mamie Ambrosch and Kelsey Troutt both scored a 56 and Katlin Paranto finished the front nine with a 63.
    The Metamora junior varsity team pulled through with the win after a team score of 211 to beat the Lady Potters who marked a 228.
