Why is it so hard to get back in the swing of things after a vacation?
I am back following a two-week vacation in which I did very little.
I watched TV.
I helped a neighbor put up a privacy fence.
I ate too much.
I did some yard work.
I sent my wife to her job every day.
In other words I re-charged my very depleted batteries.
I came back on Monday and felt as if I was in a foreign place.
Two weeks goes by quickly, but it seems like an eternity away from the newsroom.
I have to come up with a way to overcome this sensation because I'm taking another two weeks off in August. Don't you feel sorry for me?
