The Fourth Friday – Tazewell Art Loop in Morton grows every month and the August program will feature interactive sights and sounds for all ages!

On Fourth Fridays, popular Morton businesses such as Kemp 208, The Great American Popcorn Company, Seasons, Lulu’s, Old School Arts & John Telger Photography will open their doors from 5–9 p.m. to celebrate the arts in Tazewell County. Kemp’s will feature a classical guitar performer. John Telger will feature his studio and photography art, and Season’s will feature special Fourth Friday cocktails showing off the art of mixology — to name a few.

In addition to the brick and mortar participants, Fourth Fridays in August will also feature pop-up activities. The Central Illinois Banjo Club will perform at Memorial Plaza between 6 and 7:30 p.m., alongside a pop-up market featuring the Morton Tourism Association wearables and items, fashionable kids and women’s clothing, and jewelry made to diffuse essential oils!

Another pop-up location will be in the available storefront at the Jefferson Place Building managed by Element Building. This location will feature the work of local artists and Tres Rojas wine – also locally made.

The icing on the Fourth Friday cake might be the photo opportunity with Libby, the new Pumpkin Festival Mascot! She will be available for pictures by the Little Free Library on West Jefferson Street. Attendees can stop for a photo, grab a Kona Shaved Ice Cone at the Kona Ice Mini truck and then head over to take a selfie at the Fourth Friday Photo station at Old School Arts. They can also stop and paint a rock with WTP Rocks while they are at it! There is truly something for everyone.

“We want Fourth Fridays to be an interactive and fun experience for everyone. I brought my kids and they can’t wait to go again. Fourth Fridays features the best of Morton – our incredible businesses, the arts that enliven the community, and the people that make this community great. We look forward to seeing you on the Morton portion of the Tazewell Art Loop!” says Leigh Ann Brown, Director of the Morton Chamber of Commerce.
