PEORIA — A company that provides business management services has created hundreds of new customer service positions in Peoria and is taking applications in person or online.

Hinduja Global Solutions, more commonly referred to as HGS, will host daily in-person interview sessions on weekdays until the new jobs are filled. Applications will be accepted and interviews conducted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the HGS office, 1901 War Memorial Drive in Peoria. Applications also can be submitted online at careers.teamhgs.com.

Up to 300 new positions will support an HGS client that provides mobile digital payment services. New hires will interact with that company's customers on a daily basis, answering questions about accounts, bills, services and other point-of-purchase issues.

The company wants individuals who enjoy helping others find solutions, with an emphasis on previous customer service experience and basic computer skills.

“Our employees are hardworking and committed to providing amazing customer service,” HGS Director of Operations Scott Yates said in a release announcing the new jobs. “If you’re the kind of person who gets job satisfaction from helping put a smile on other peoples’ faces, then this is a great opportunity for you.”

HGS employs more than 46,000 people in 69 centers located in seven countries and is part of the international conglomerate Hinduja group.
