A missing Pekin woman has been found safe, Pekin police stated in a Facebook post Wednesday.

After receiving an anonymous call, the Pekin police confirmed Wednesday that Amy Foster-Eagan, 50, of Pekin, was safe, said Billie Ingles, Pekin Police public information officer, on Wednesday. Ingles was not allowed to give any more details about Foster-Eagan’s location or current situation.

“Thank you to everyone who contacted us with information and shared,” the police department stated in the Facebook post.

Foster-Eagan’s family had last heard from her on Facebook on Oct. 3 and last saw her in person on Sept. 29 in Pekin, said Ingles on Tuesday. On Tuesday, Ingles said it wasn’t known whether Foster-Eagan was still in Pekin or what area she might be in. Foster-Eagan has no car or way to get around.

According to Ingles on Tuesday, it wasn’t unusual for Foster-Eagan’s family to go a little while without communication from the 50-year-old woman, but the family reported Foster-Eagan missing after a long time had passed with no contact.
