A Eureka man found trapped underneath a truck was pronounced dead at 7:45 p.m. Nov. 2 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Joshua Heeren, 27, of 2300 S. Main St., Apt. B, died from multiple crushing injuries of the chest, Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll said.

An autopsy was performed Nov. 3.

Heeren was trapped underneath a truck that came to rest after it rolled downhill about 2 p.m. Nov. 2 on a county road a couple of miles northwest of the Woodford County village of Secor.

Heeren was attempting to retrieve the truck that broke loose as a compact tractor was being loaded by Steven Bachman onto the flatbed trailer the truck was pulling.
