A southern Illinois man faces two felony charges related to an incident at a Kappa adult-entertainment business.

A Woodford County grand jury indicted Derek S. Phillips, 710 E. Fourth St. in West Frankfort. The 23-year-old is accused of criminal damage to government-supported property and threatening a public official.

Police were called to Kappa Kabanna about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 21 regarding a fight that had ended by the time Woodford County sheriff's deputies arrived. Phillips, however, would not stop arguing and tried to punch patrons, according to the police report.

The strip-club manager asked Phillips to leave, but he wouldn't, so he was arrested for disorderly conduct, the report stated.

Once in the patrol car, Phillips began to butt his head against the windows and the cage that separates the front and back seats. Then as he was being transported to jail in Eureka, Phillips threatened to find out where the arresting officer lived and kill him, the report stated.

Phillips also threatened the officer's wife and children, according to the report, and began to kick out the patrol car's rear passenger-side window.

The officer stopped in El Paso to place physical restraints on Phillips and inspect damage to the car. According to the report, the affected window was out of its tracks, and its frame was bent.

Both charges against Phillips carry maximum sentences of five years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Also indicted were:

- Michael Froman, 28, 2834 W. Susan Curve, Peoria; unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

- Jenifer Ernst, 35, 24 Partner Place, Bloomington; home invasion.

- Andrew Martino, 30, 994 S. Riverside Drive, Elmhurst; criminal damage to government-supported property.

- Michelle L. Thomas, 43, 14 Enchanted Gardens; misuse of debit card.

- Paul A. Wernsman, 53, 427 Old Germantown Road, Metamora; aggravated driving under the influence.

- Marty D. Jenkins, 46, 920 N. Washington St., Metamora; aggravated battery.

- David Shrier, 43, 504 W. Prairie St., Roanoke; predatory criminal sexual assault.
