Clara Alice Glad, 96, of Canton, passed away Thursday July, 5, 2018, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1922, in Pekin, to George and Nellie Woodworth. They preceded her in death.
She married Swanimer “Bill” Glad on Aug. 17, 1940, in Lewistown, he preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death are her brothers, George and Louie, and one great-grandson, Christopher Young.
Surviving are her children, Jean (Fred) Karn of Kearney Mo. and Jack (Carole) Glad of St. Cloud, Fla.; four grandchildren, Laurie Otto, Shawn Karn, Matthew Glad, and John Glad; eight great-grandchildren, Melissa Day, TJ Otto, Cameron Karn and Megan Karn, Cody Glad, Ryan Glad, and Kyle Glad and Cory Glad; one great-great-granddaughter, Briona Young; and two sisters, Ver Neal De Golyer and Linda Frazier.
Clara was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was involved with the Women’s Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Food Pantry. She also loved to dance.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 9 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.
Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials may be made out to the St. Mary’s Food Pantry.
