1951 - 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Glen Scott Talbott, 67, of Manito, announces his passing at 1:24 a.m. on Sept. 13, 2018, at UnityPoint Health — Methodist in Peoria.
Scott was born on June 29, 1951, in Pekin to Gnile and Marjorie Smith Talbott.
He is survived by his mother of Manito; sister Connie (Roger) Warner of Manito; niece Carrie Warner of Manito; nephew Scott (Mandi) Warner of Manito; great nieces Ava and Mia Warner, both of Manito; longtime companion, Donna Williams of Pekin; and their “doggie doos” Toby and Tiggy.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Scott was a graduate of Forman Community High School and Illinois Central College. He was a lifelong farmer in the Manito area and was part of Talbott’s Produce since its inception.
In his spare time, Scott enjoyed modifying trucks, rims, listening to his extensive music collection, spending time with family and friends, and quoting “Seinfeld” episodes. He touched many lives by his giving nature and his selfless acts.
In Scott’s honor today, be kind and help someone who is struggling. Most of all, laugh and make the most of every single minute life gives you, just as he did.
Private services will be held, and burial will take place at Meadow Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials in honor of Scott may be made to Illinois Cancer Care or Mason County Pets Without Parents.
