Eureka – Virginia C. Plessner, 89, of Eureka, formerly of Park Ridge and Mountain Home, Ark., died at 1:20 a.m. on Sunday Dec. 18, 2011, at Maple Lawn Health Care Center where she was a resident.
Born on Feb. 5, 1922, in Chicago to Emil C. and Alma Henning Wolff, she married Arthur "Pete" Plessner Feb. 26, 1949, in Chicago. He died July 6, 1982.
Surviving is one son, Michael (Nancy) Plessner of Glen Arbor, Mich.; and one grandson, Matthew Plessner of Texarkana, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Otto and Wilbur.
As per her wish, cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held at a later date. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is assisting the family with arrangements.
