Eureka - Orvetta R. White, 95, of Eureka, formerly of Carlock, died at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Advocate Eureka Hospital.
She was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Congerville, to William and Eva Zook Reel.
Surviving are one daughter, Sue E. White of Richmond, Texas; one son, Leslie "Ken" (Rita) White of Carlock; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lawrence Reel; one brother, Warren Reel; and one daughter-in-law, Leisa Reel.
Orvetta worked as a bookkeeper at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington, Ill., for 35 years before her retirement in 1986.
Orvetta was a member of the Rock Creek Bible Church in Congerville where she had taught Sunday School in the past.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. The Rev. Phil Bachman will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Imhoff Cemetery in Congerville.
