LETTER - Germantown Hills' Future

I was elected in 2009 by the people of Germantown Hills.  My election told me the people wanted change from the old political machine that our Village Board had become.  That change happened.

I was not elected to just sit back and watch things work as they have always worked.  When I felt something was wrong, I said so.  When something didn't seem right, I questioned it.  When there was an issue, it was addressed.

I realize this change would be hard to those well established board members who are used to the way things have always been.  Change isn't easy.  It takes people willing to stand up for what they believe in, regardless of who will call you names or try to personally attack you.  The people's voice was crystal clear in 2009, and I believe we've been delivering that change ever since.

As your mayor, I want to know the people's direction for our community.  Your vote on April 5th will tell us if you like the change, or if you want to go back to the way things were prior to 2009.  I ask everyone to take the time to study all of the candidates, talk with your friends and neighbors, and cast your vote.

Sincerely,

Mayor Kenny Mitchell
