Chicago Marshall girls basketball coach Dorothy Gaters leads the state in wins among basketball coaches with 1,106 and in July she will become the 28th inductee into the NFHS National High School Hall of Fame representing the IHSA.

"It is a great honor to be inducted into the NFHS Hall of Fame," said Gaters. "It is recognizing the accomplishments of so many dedicated young ladies who have made it possible for me to be a recipient. Our families, city, school and community share this award."
Gaters is also a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, Illinois Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame and received the 2009 Morgan Wootten Lifetime Achievement Award from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
