PEORIA — Forty college cross country teams slogged through the sleet and snow at Newman Golf Course on Friday at the Bradley Pink Classic.

Grand Valley State senior Zach Panning won the Men's Red Race after running the eight-kilometer course in 24 minutes, 6.7 seconds. Sophomore teammate Enael Woldemichael was second in the fifth and final race of the day in 24:28.7. And Bradley senior Jake Hoffert was fifth in 24:37.1. Senior teammat Michael Ward (24:41.7) was seventh.

Iowa State soph Cailie Logue won the 6K Women's Red Race in 20:32.6, which was almost four seconds faster than Toledo junior Athena Welsh. Freshman Tyler Schwartz was BU's best finisher after she ran 21:39.7 to place 39th.

The Bradley men won the team competition with 76 points. Grand Valley State (97) was second. Iowa State (54) was first in the women's team standings. South Dakota (144) was second and Bradley (322) placed eighth.

The first event of the day was the women's college division race, which was won by Iowa State junior Adriana Krammerer in 21:58.5. Grand Valley junior Colin Hermann won the men's college race in 25:25.5. Bradley frosh Ben Wagoner was second in 25:44.6. Braves sophomore Jon May (25:46.5) was third.
