With the closing of fall sports, other than girls swimming, the Mid-Illini Conference released its All Conference teams.Metamora was able to get 29 athletes on either the first or second All Conference teams.

Two D1 letters of national intent for baseball were signed at Metamora Township High School Nov. 12.Senior Ethan Skender has signed to play and attend Kansas State University and Trent Johnson will be making his way to the University of Arizona.

After two grueling three-set matches to win a regional title, the Metamora varsity volleyball team was heading to the 3A IVC sectional semifinal to face Lincoln.Unfortunately, the Lady Redbirds fell in two sets, 26-24, 25-18.

Another well executed performance by the Metamora boys cross country team put them at fifth place overall in the 2A state meet.The Runnin’ Red performed well at Detweiller and advanced one position better than a sixth place finish last year.
