Metamora High School senior second baseman Kasey Kanaga signed a letter of intent to play softball at Saint Xavier University in Chicago.
Kanaga was a first team all Mid-Illini All-Conference selection and a third team honoree on the 2011 Illinois Coaches Association Class 3A All-State team last year as a junior. “We are incredibly excited to welcome Kasey to our program,” said Saint Xavier University softball coach Myra Minuskin. “She is one of the fastest players I have ever seen from home plate to first base. Kasey is also a solid defensive infielder and an incredibly tough out.”
