PEORIA — The Tailgate N' Tallboys Music Festival returns this weekend with a collection of country musicians old and new alike.
The headliner for the Friday night set of shows at Peoria Riverfront Festival Park is the venerable Charlie Daniels Band, famous for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" and several other fiddle-led tunes from the 81-year-old Daniels. Preceding the Charlie Daniels Band on Friday will be Sawyer Brown, Keith Anderson, Ruth Collins and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. Gates open at 3 p.m.
The music continues Saturday afternoon and evening with a full day of music featuring Cody Jinks, Whitey Morgan, Colter Wall, Ward Davis, Dallas Moore and Craig Gerdes.
The weekend-long schedule of concerts is being held in conjunction with the Central Illinois BBQ Throwdown event on the Peoria Riverfront this Friday and Saturday.
