PEORIA — A 49-year-old man reported a dog and laptop missing after his girlfriend moved out Friday, according to a Peoria police report.
The man told police his girlfriend was asleep when he left at 11 a.m. Friday. When he returned shortly before 5 p.m., both the girlfriend and her belongings were gone, along with a brown-and-black Yorkshire terrier and a laptop. The man told police the pair were together when the dog was purchased, but the dog belonged to him, according to the report. The responding officer replied ownership of the dog is a civil matter because the pair were in a relationship, the report said.
Police are attempting to contact the girlfriend to question her about the laptop and the dog, the report said.
