KAPPA — Woodford County sheriff's deputies are searching a man in connection with a Tuesday morning stabbing in Kappa that left one with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to a news release from the sheriff's office, the dispatch center was told at about 8:30 p.m. that two men had forcibly entered a house in Kappa and a 46-year-old man inside was stabbed in the abdomen. He has since been treated and released from the hospital.
According to the release, the assailants fled south into McLean County, and about a half-hour later, the car was found by Bloomington police. One man, Scott A. Duckworth, 43, of Bloomington was arrested and later booked into the Woodford County jail on the single count of aggravated battery.
A juvenile boy was also arrested but later released. Details on where he was from or what his age was weren't available.
Police are searching for Jose L. Lemous, 40, of Normal. He is considered a person of interest for questioning in this matter. Chief Deputy Dennis Tipsword said a $100,000 warrant had been obtained Tuesday night for Lemous' arrest.
