MORTON -- 4B Components, a Morton-based developer of material-handling components, won the 2019 Governor’s Export Award in the Agricultural Exporter category.

The company is a subsidiary of the worldwide manufacturer 4B Braime Components and develops products ranging from elevator buckets and bolts, to speed switches, level monitors, and other hazard monitoring systems.

The award highlights companies that have excelled in contributing to Illinois’ exporting industry.

“Exports are an integral part of our economy, employing thousands of men and women across the state and contributing millions of dollars to the state’s economy,” said Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton.

In 2018, Illinois was the sixth largest state exporter of goods nationwide.
