It’s a fun challenge for a good cause.

The annual Kayak Fun Challenge Obstacle Course Race — now in year five — is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 24 at Eureka Lake in Eureka, Ill. at 9 a.m.

The race, which is sponsored by the City of Eureka, 50 GO! and the Washington Park District will direct the proceeds to Heartline and Heart House of Eureka, which offers services to women and children in crisis situations in Woodford County and parts of Tazewell County.

Team River Runners USA, an organization that offers adaptive paddling programs for wounded and disabled military veterans, will be the honored guest competitors for the 2019 event.
