PEORIA — Only one case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in the Tri-County Area in the last 24 hours.
The new positive test was for a Peoria County resident, which bumped the Tri-County’s total positive tests to 595 cases. Tazewell County and Woodford County remained at 115 cases and 33 cases, respectively.
There are currently two COVID-19 patients occupying intensive care unit beds at area hospitals, an increase of one since yesterday. Seven COVID-19 patients occupy non-ICU beds, a decrease of two since yesterday.
The LaSalle County Health Department announced that a man in his 70s who had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 has died. It is the 17th COVID-19 related death in LaSalle County.
