What better time to talk ice fishing than the day after snowpocalypse dumped a record snowfall in central Illinois?
The 35th annual Lake Camelot Ice Fishing Tournament is on the hook.
The event will operate 7 a.m.-noon through the Lake Camelot Sportsman's Club in the Peoria County subdivision. Backup date for the tournament is Feb. 9.
Registration for the tourney is at Lake Camelot Clubhouse on Jan. 25th (6-9 p.m.) and on the morning of the Jan. 26 tourney (5:30-7 a.m.).
Entry is $10 for adults and $5 for kids aged 12-under. Cash prizes will be paid to the top three places for each fish category.
Food? Oh yeah, chili and hot dogs and drinks will be available.
At the conclusion of the tournament, prizes will be issued -- including an ice fishing tent, power auger and rod and reel combos.
There will be a drawing for a $1,000 Presleys Outdoors gift card (raffle tickets for that drawing are available at the Lake Camelot Clubhouse).
There is a backup date for the tournament -- Feb. 9.

That's all for Cleve In The Eve on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019.
Here's your sports quote of the day:
"If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
