A recipe's ingredients can be anything from flour and sugar to Bugles and beer.

I

t just does not matter if it tastes good.

The Peoria Times-Observer's annual Holiday Cookbook is an opportunity to share our favorite holiday recipes and see what others have to offer.

Those who submit a recipe to the cookbook will be entered into a drawing for an extra holiday treat — a $50 gift certificate to the Shoppes at Grand Prairie.

“If it's your family's favorite recipe, chances are it will become a favorite for other families, too,” said Linda Smith Brown, co-publisher of TimesNewspapers. “Share the goodness, and possibly reap the added reward of a $50 shopping spree.”

Recipes will be divided into five general categories: main course, appetizers, snacks and drinks, dessert, cookies and bread.

E-mail recipes as a word attachment to dreaska@timestoday.com or fill out the form on Page 10A of this newspaper and mail to: Holiday Cookbook, PO Box 9426, Peoria, IL 61612-9426.

Due to space limitations and multiple entries, recipes will be chosen for publication at the editor’s discretion. Recipes must be received by Oct. 17. Selected recipes will be published in the Holiday Cookbook and inserted in the Peoria Times-Observer Nov. 5.
