Several new places where you can shop, work out and keep kids entertained opened in metro Phoenix recently.

Planet Fitness opened a new gym near downtown Gilbert, and, across the Valley, Burlington set up a new discount department store in Peoria.

If you’re looking for places to take children over summer vacation, Sky Zone has opened its fourth Valley location. The trampoline park offers play time that involves dunking, throwing dodgeballs and doing tricks on trampolines. Yardbird, an outdoor furniture store, is open in time to renovate your patio during summer.

From Peoria to Scottsdale to Gilbert, here are eight new places to check out and where you can find them.
