The Junior League of Peoria will host Julep’s Closet at the RiverPlex Nov. 7 and 8.

The event is Peoria’s largest rummage sale. There will be no sale on Sunday this year.

Friday is “Twice the Price Night,” as shoppers get first pick of the merchandise from 5 to 8 p.m. for twice the marked price. There is a $1 admission charge.

Saturday’s sale runs from 8 a.m. to noon at regular price — with a $1 admission charge — from noon to 2 p.m. as the half-price sale, and then after a half-hour closure, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. as the Bag Sale, where merchandise is priced by the bag — $3 for everything that will fit in a small bag or $10 for a large bag.

The sale offers men’s, women’s, children’s, and infant’s clothing, housewares and holiday items, books, toys, shoes, and linens. The sale also features a boutique area, with vintage, designer, and brand-new pieces.

This year’s sale will mark the return of the baked goods sale.

Proceeds of the sale go directly to operating expenses of the Junior League of Peoria.

Julep’s Closet is the Junior League’s largest yearly fund raiser, and helps fund local programs including Kids in the Kitchen, a nutrition and healthy-lifestyle program, I Like Me, an early literacy program with District 150, and the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum.
