Music and Easter Seals support all at the same time

The Central Illinois Youth Symphony and the Metamora Wind Ensemble join forces, in concert, to support Easter Seals at Jazz and Razz Maatzz  at 3 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Metamora High School auditorium.  The concert will feature some familiar jazz tunes and symphonic jazz as well.

The Metamora Wind Ensemble, directed by Dr. Wally Parks, will kick-off the afternoon with a variety of selections from Dixieland to jazz-fusion to Duke Ellington. 

Joining the ensemble will be alto saxophonist soloist, Keith Zimmerman performing Come Sunday from Ellington’s classic, Black and Tan Fantasy. 

One of the highlights from the symphony’s portion of the concert will be Gershwin’s An American in Paris.  Brian Dollinger directs the Central Illinois Symphony.
