Cookie Walk coming

The Communities of Maple Lawn hosts their Annual Meals on Wheels Cookie Walk 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 10 in Memorial Hall.

A wide variety of cookies, bars and candy will be available to the public.  Baked goods and candy are sold for $5 a pound.  Proceeds from the Cookie Walk are directed to the Meals on Wheels ministry of Woodford County.

Meals on Wheels delivers hot meals around noon throughout Woodford County Monday through Friday.  Volunteers from the area pack and deliver meals each day to the community while children and staff members from Maple Lawn’s Noah’s Ark Children’s Center participate as volunteers helping to deliver meals once a week to residents who live at Maple Lawn’s apartment building.

Meals on Wheels is more than receiving a nutritious meal – recipients also receive a friendly smile and warm greeting from the volunteers delivering the meals.  Looking for the perfect gift?  Give a Meals on Wheels gift certificate to someone special on your Christmas list.
