Have a ball and benefit the Children's Hospital

A weekend focused on children gets off to a start on June 3 when David Ball and the Pioneer Playboys perform at 7 p.m. in the Par-A-Dice Hotel Ballroom in East Peoria. (Doors open at 6:00 PM).

The event kicks off the weekend leading up to the annual Children’s Miracle Network Telethon seen on WEEK-TV 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June.

David Ball played his first concert to benefit Children’s Hospital of Illinois in 2010. It was such a success he is back this year with special guest Comatose Catfish. Ball is known for such hits as “Riding with Private Malone,” “Thinkin’ Problem,” and “When the Thought of You Catches Up With Me.” Ball will also debut “What’ll I Do if I Don’t Have You” the new single from his latest CD Sparkle City during his Peoria visit.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They are available at the Children’s Hospital Foundation office in Peoria Heights (the old Pabst building) or by calling 309.566.5666.
