Kurt Menssen, Metamora IGA manager, poses with the water the store is selling that benefits the Wounded Warriors Project.

The Metamora IGA store is selling IGA brand bottled water by the case. That water carries a special logo for the Wounded Warriors Project.

For each case of water sold IGA is donating 10 cents to the Wounded Warriors Project.

According to Metamora IGA Store Manager Kurt Menssen, “There will be ongoing specials through the summer to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.”

Among those specials are commemorative 9/11 T-shirts.

The T-shirts, Menssen said, should be available by Memorial Day.

Also, on Friday, the American Legion Ladies Auxilliary will be selling poppies at the store.

Why you should participate

“I’ve taken this on to honor soldiers who have sacrificed so much for us," Menssen said.
