Geraldine Leman, 93, of Eureka

Geraldine F. Leman, 93, of Eureka, IL passed away at 11:10 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka where she was a resident.

She was born on October 28, 1917 in Roanoke, IL a daughter of Samuel E. and Caroline M. Kempf Steffen. She married Harold Plattner on July 27, 1941. He passed away on February 11, 1981. She later married Richard Laukhuf on April 11, 1984. He passed away on November 6, 1992. She then married Milton Leman on January 8, 1997. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Sam (Pat) Plattner of Eureka, IL; Dan (Jayne) Plattner of Morton, IL; one brother, Harvey Steffen of Indianapolis, IN; step children, Bob Laukhuf, Dean Laukhuf, Robert (Dee) Leman, Shirley (Craig) Johns, Larry (Marilyn) Leman, Terry (Shirley) Leman, seven grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, one great grandchild, and one step great grandchild.

She was a member of the Goodfield Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4-8 pm at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and from 9-9:45 am on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Goodfield/Congerville Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
