Knitting Instructor Mary McSweeney will be holding a new series of classes at the Eureka Public Library on creating a sampler afghan, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27.
Those in the class will finish with a completed sampler afghan, designed by knitting 5 blocks each of four different patterns and sewing the blocks together.
A display sample of the afghan and a supply list is available at the library. The series of classes run on every other Tuesday, concluding Nov. 22.
A possible add-on date would be Dec. 6 if needed to finish the project. Cost for the entire series of evenings is $45 and class size is limited to seven people.
